Standards at Vocational university to improve along with Ocean university
View(s):A proposal to improve the quality and recognition of degree courses offered by the University of Vocational Technology of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Ocean University has been approved by Cabinet.
The proposal was submitted by Higher Education and Highways Minister Lakshman Kiriella, Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera and Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister Chandima Weerakkody.
The cabinet decided to adopt the method of institutional review and subject or programme review followed for other universities by the University Grants Commission in order to improve standards and recognition.
