Instead of the tallest Christmas tree that entered the Guinness Book of Records, the Galle Face Green’s centre of attraction this Christmas is a giant Santa sock overflowing with gifts. It has been a Christmas tradition among little children to keep a sock outside their room window on Christmas eve for Santa to drop a gift, whether he comes with his reindeer or not.
