Kaema Sutra specials at Shangri-La Colombo
View(s):Kaema Sutra recently moved to Shangri-La Hotel , Colombo from the restaurant’s original location at Arcade, Independence Square. Serving up interesting items such as the black hopper(with squid ink) and the roti pizza, the restaurant aims to serve tapas styled cuisine, said Dharshan Munidasa, the mastermind behind Kaema Sutra.
Vice President and General Manager of Shangri-La Hotel Colombo, Timothy Wright explained that the hotel chose to partner with Kaema Sutra because they felt that as newcomers to Sri Lanka, they wanted to work with an expert and decided to work with Sri Lanka’s best restaurateur.
Dharshan explained that Kaema Sutra also inculcates the restaurant’s famous ‘no-freezer’ policy, making sure that food is made fresh. The restaurant also boasts Sri Lanka’s only made to order lamprais. He explained that the speciality of the restaurant is the combination of modern culinary finesse with traditional Sri Lankan preparation methods to bring the best of Sri Lankan cuisine to their diner’s plate.
