Lady Gaga heads to Vegas for a residency
View(s):Lady Gaga is heading to Las Vegas for a residency in 2018. The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker took to social media on 20th December to confirm that she will be taking up residency in Las Vegas to perform at MGM’s Park Theatre which had been a lifelong dream. The news ended months of speculation and rumour of Lady Gaga’s move. In recent times several artists have done lucrative residencies in Las Vegas among them Sir Elton John, Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Cher.

Pop DJ Khaleed who had two big hit songs in 2017 ‘I’m The One’ and ‘Wild Thoughts’ has been injured in a jet-ski accident. The burley artist was taking a ride on a river to the home of Sean Diddy Combs on 20th December when his jet ski hit a floating tree. He managed to capture the incident on camera and post in social media.
Khaleed injured his leg but did not panic according to his version of the accident. Instead he says he made it into a real life lesson.
Calvin Harris who is one of the world’s highest paid DJs has bought a house in Hollywood Hills for an estimated $70 million. Reports from the US say the 33 Scottish born DJ and producers behind many huge global hit songs for other artists and his own purchased the 4500 square foot house from the Swedish House Mafia member and fellow DJ Steve Angello. The house is reported to be equipped with a recording studio.
Meghan Trainor has announced she is engaged to actor Daryl Sabara. ‘The All About The Bass’ hitmaker took to social media on 22nd December to say her boyfriend proposed on her 24th birthday.

Ed Sheeran took the coveted Christmas No: 1 on the UK singles chart as his ballad ‘Perfect’ retained it top position for a third week. The video to the song has been a major contributor in addition to the supporting two duets of the song with Beyonce and Andrea Borcelli. In the week leading up to the Christmas No: 1, ‘Perfect’ had 85,000 in combined sales with 45,000 downloads and six million streams. ‘Perfect’ received uplifting news as it was certified double platinum by the BPI on 22nd December for achieving total combined sales of 1.23 million in the UK.
Rapper Eminem has another hit song ‘River’ which has debuted on the UK singles chart at No: 2. The track features Ed Sheeran on vocals. Eminem, Sheeran and Emile Haynie share song writing credit to ‘River’ which is a follow up to ‘Walk On Water’ featuring Beyonce. That song peaked at No: 2 on the UK chart in November. Both singles are taken from Eminem’s new album ‘Revival’
Meanwhile, rapper artist NF whose style of music is reminiscent of Eminem has coincidently arrived on the UK top 10 at 10 with his debut UK hit ‘Let You Down’. NF is Nathan Feuerstein a 26 year artist from Michigan, US. ‘Let You Down’ is about the relationship with his father who bought him up as a single parent.
