Art lovers it’s your chance to pick up your paints and brushes

Art lovers can look forward to feasting their visual senses with an artist-in-residence programme launched in collaboration with internationally acclaimed Sri Lankan artist Anoma Wijewardene now on at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort.
Anoma is offering daily sketch classes at the resort and also private tutorials. Guests of all ages will benefit from the expertise of the artist-in-residence and receive guidance on creating their work. All materials will be provided and each piece can be brought home as a spectacular holiday souvenir.
Anoma has been in residence at Anantara Tangalle Resort from January 8 and tomorrow will be the final day of her art programme. Her pop up studio opens from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4- 7 p.m. Art instruction and sketching classes will run every day from 5 – 6 p.m in her studio. A one-to-one diagnostic masterclass for more experienced artists can be also arranged on individual basis with prior notice.
Whether guests wish to learn some basics, improve their techniques, take a sketching tour or have a masterclass to unblock their creativity, Anoma can tailor a session to their personal needs.
