Leg-spinner Dellon Peiris of S. Thomas’ College continues to dominate the All-Island Schools category, while surpassing the landmark of 20000 votes, as the Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy/Schoolgirl Cricketer of the Year 2018 competition reaches the end of 17th week.

While Dellon earns that feat the leader of Emerging Schools, Denuwan Perera of Carey College continues his stronghold for yet another week while reaching the milestone of 10000 votes.

Continuing his pace intact, Dellon received the highest number of combined votes with 1798, while his total reaches 20529. He leads Sachin Silva by 8024, yet improving from last week’s deficit. Sachin of St. Peter’s College, added 1130 combined votes while taking total to 12505. Though both top contenders stand far ahead of the rest, it is evident that Dellon is way far ahead of Sachin.

Third in line is Vihan Gunasekara of D.S. Senanayake College who looks comfortable with 4656 votes, despite adding 31 combined votes. Ananda College skipper Asel Sigera follows in at fourth with Kavin Peiris of Lumbini College at fifth.

In the Emerging Schools category, leader added 1002 combined votes to take his total to 10614. He leads second placed Kenula Gunaratne of St. Aloysius College Ratnapura, by 4041 votes. Kenula’s total reached 6573 with the addition of 702 combined votes.

Sonara Karunathunga of Ananda Sasthralaya follows in at third with 4401 votes, with the addition of 413 combined votes last week. Thimira Malshan, also of Ananda Sasthralaya, is at fourth place while Heshan Madushanka of Piliyandala Central remains at fifth.

Harshitha Samarawickrama of Anula Vidyalaya, has picked up this week after slowing down during the last, as she continues to lead the Girls’ category. Her count now is 6244 votes and she added 787 combined votes last week.

Pabasara Ranabahu of Rathnavali Girls’ School Gampaha took her tally to 4979 votes after adding 510 combined votes. Harshitha’s lead against Pabasara has improved to 1265. Kaveesha Dilhani of Devapathiraja MV, Rathgama and Ruwini Nandasena of St. Joseph’s Girls School are the other two contenders in the list.

The deadline for COUPONS and ONLINE VOTES will be every Thursday Noon. Online Votes received after the weekly cutoff time will be counted for the next week, while for Coupons, ONLY those numbered for the particular week will be taken into count. This week’s digital voting count was monitored and approved by auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers.
