Remembering D.B. Jayatilaka

The 150th Birth Anniversary of Sir D.B.Jayatilaka is being commemorated with a series of events this year. One of the events was held at the Colombo Young Men’s Buddhist Association of which he was the founder President and held the position from 1898 to 1944.
The Chief Guest of the event was Chief Justice Priyasath Dep, PC while the annual Sir D.B. Jayatilaka memorial oration was delivered by Justice P.A.Ratnayake, PC.
A stamp was also issued to mark the event. Here the first day cover is being handed over to the Chief Justice. President Deshabandu Tilak de Zoysa and Justice Ratnayaka are also in the picture.
