Standard Chartered end Kanrich Finance’s unbeaten run
A sparkling century by Standard Chartered Bank’s (SCB) Aruna Henrison, guided SCB to a convincing 5-wickets win, to end Kanrich Finance (Kanrich) ‘B’s unbeaten run in the ongoing 7th Prestige Automobile (Pvt) Ltd., sponsored – ‘BMW Hyundai’ Trophy – MCA ‘C’ Division 50-Over League Tournament 2018 continued last week.
Kanrich ‘B’, thus completed their League quota of 6 matches with 4 wins, 1 no result and 1 loss. SCB has so far played 5 matches, won 2, lost 3 and to play.
After Hasitha Rajapaksa (4/23) and Ravin Perumal (2/26) restricted Kanrich ‘B’ to a moderate 213 in 48.3 overs, Henrison almost single-handedly put the Bankers on the right side of the ledger, with a masterly 126 not out in 123 balls, with 6 sixes and 13 fours. SCB finished with 215/5 in 42.5 overs.
Newcomers, Pyramid Wilmer (Pyramid) notched up their 4th win with a handsome 46-runs win over Morisons.
