Rs 3m+ to 1,700+ students as Insurance payments
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has disbursed over Rs 3 million to more than 1,700 beneficiaries, while over 6,000 others have sought relief, under the student insurance scheme “Suraksha.” The MoE said that, at present, about 1 million students in National, Provincial, Private and International schools and Pirivena’s have been covered under this insurance scheme.
