When Sri Lanka wins, the chief selector gives credit to the coach. When Sri Lanka loses does the chief selector say due to poor coaching. As for me having played cricket for Sri Lanka, it is not the coach or selector who helps to perform on the day of the match.
Did Arjuna give credit to his coach for taking him through to win a World Cup final. It is not the coach or selector who ultimately helps to win the match. It is responsibility of each player to perform and help the skipper. Has Hathurusinghe performed a mighty miracle for Sri Lanka to win matches. Were the various interim committee sleeping and be blamed for the poor results in lost matches. Wherever the former administration or interim committees who brought foreign coaches do something wrong. What did the Minister of Sports do for Sri Lanka Cricket after the World Cup Victory. All what I have to say is cricket or any other sport has to depend on how the players perform.
