NDB Inter-Bank champions
Champions Peoples Bank - The captain of Peoples bank with his team mates receiving the NDB trophy from the chief guest.
Peoples bank posted a four wicket win over National Development Bank in the final to emerge champions at the Matale interbank six-a-side cricket tournament 2018 which was concluded at St. Thomas’ college ground Matale.
Made to bat first National Development Bank scored 45/4 wickets in their allotted overs. Peoples bank in their turn reached the target in the fourth over for the loss of two wickets.
The tournament organised and conducted by NDB Matale saw teams from Peoples bank, NSB, Sampath , DFCC, Pan Asia and NDB taking part.
Udesh Wijerathna of Peoples bank won the award for the best batsman (78 runs) while Kasun Samarakoon of DFCC who took 7 scalps in the tournament was named the best bowler.
Charaka Udupihilla, secretary of Matale district cricket association graced the presentation ceremony as the chief guest.
