Olympic fun run at Anuradhapura

Participants eagerly taking part in the fun run
Over 350 school children from the Anuradhapura District participated in the Olympic fun run. It was held at the Salgado ground in Anuradhapura.
All participants who were engaged in the fun run were awarded certificates signed by the President of Olympic Council of Asia and for the winners were presented with medals of the 18th Jakarta – Palembang Asian Games 2018.
Besides the fun run, there was also an art competition depicting the importance of the Asian Games and also an awareness programmes for teachers in the area Olympic value awareness.
Among the dignitary’s who took part at the event were — Gusti Ngurah Ardiyasa, the Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Colombo, Delegate from OCA Ms. Elena Hristova Chakarova, · Jian Zhou and Wissam Trkmani along with Maxwell de Silva, Secretary General of NOC Sri Lanka and · Government Agent of the Anuradhapura District, Assistant Government Agent, North Central Province, Anuradhapura District and Assistant Director (Sports), North Central Province, Anuradhapura District.
