DIFFICULT TO TRAVEL TO JAFFNA

View(s):

A leading women’s sport is to stage a contest in Jaffna but players find it difficult to travel there. The competition is for four days but now the organisers are trying to make it a two day event due to the lack of teams. One official pointed out that to hire a bus for four days the cost is around Rs. 100.00 and the players cannot afford that much as the players come from poor families.

MAKING A FRESH BID

A 63-year-old, who may be stopped from work at a leading sports headquarters, is trying to come back again. With this in mind he has changed his bio-data and has sought the help of an opposing candidate, to make a fresh application, changing the date of birth etc. Will he succeed?

ATTEMPTS TO STOP ACCREDITATIONS

With the Commonwealth Games around the corner several are making attempts to witness the event. Since the cost is so high for the event, several are making use of their accreditations to be at the event. But some are trying to stop these accreditations in order to take revenge on those who worked against the present regime.

TO BE IN GOOD BOOKS

Security at a leading sport was astonished to see a former top official coming to the sport’s headquarters. He had come to collect some of his old documents. One officer, however, helped him and even offered a piece of cake just to be in the good books of this official.

REVENGE

The oldest person working for a popular men’s sport who has now been transferred to Baddegama, was stopped by security personnel from entering the premises in Colombo. The reason being that this individual has worked for an opposition candidate and now ‘revenge’ is sought by barring the individual from entering the premises.
