My pet dog — Rover
He is my pet and a lovely dog. We play together and he loves me. When I am at home, my sister and I bathe him. I always give him a snack to put him in the cage. He digs holes to keep himself cool.
He barks when outsiders ring the doorbell or come to our house.
It is sad to see him come to the gate
when I am leaving for school.

A visit to the zoo
The April holidays were just beginning. The sun was shining brightly and birds were twittering away to their hearts content. My dad had agreed to take me to the zoo. I could sing for joy.
We set off early and purchased out tickets. A guide came along with the visitors. We commenced out tour with the seal show which was thrilling. Next we entered the aquarium where we saw fish of every colour imaginable. We then visited the birds who created quite a din.
I was glad to leave them.
The apes were up next. There were monkeys, orangutans, baboons and chimpanzees.
A chimpanzee shook hands with me. We arrived just in time for the elephant show which was
mind-boggling, almost like a circus.
Afterwards, quite reluctantly I followed my dad into the reptile house. Let’s just say the snakes weren’t a big hit with me. Towards the end, we peeked at the lions and tigers. They looked magnificent. A wild bear even roared at me which admittedly scared me to death.
By that time our journey was over and after thanking the guide, my dad and I returned home with sore feet and tired bodies but with extremely happy memories.

The happiest day of my life
The happiest day of my life is November 16. It is a very special day for me and my mother, because we celebrate our birthdays on the same day together. It is a busy day for my father and my mother. When I wake up there are lots of cards and gifts from my family members and I have lots of calls to answer too. Then I eat my breakfast and start to do decorations with my family members. Then my mother starts to cook.
At 4 o’clock we start our big party with our relatives and my mother and I get lots of presents from them too. With all the great things around I’m surprised to see and cut the most beautiful and tasty birthday cake. Bright candles go down with the blowing. It is a very special moment for me and for my mother while all are singing the birthday song and wishing me and my mother a long life.
Then I play, dance, watch movies and do lots of joyful activities with my brothers and cousins. Then we eat lots of tasty food too. In the evening I sing songs with my grandparents and others. I end my day with my mother’s delicious dinner. This is the happiest day of my life.
