Chiran smashes his way to the top
View(s):Chiran Dharmaratne, a 13-year-old, stole the limelight at the 2018 Open Invitation Table Tennis Tournament held recently at the Sports Hall, Pugoda.
The youngster from Lycum International School, Bogamuwa with a bright future ahead of him exhibited a high quality of racquet skills which the other players failed to match. His forehand smashes, the top spin, back hand deep push and the brilliant service helped him to win the Under 16 Singles crown with ease. He had a big hand in Lyceum’s Under 16 Team championship.
