Sharing the wisdom gained from her clients
Singaporean based guidance counsellor, psychotherapist and career coach, Dinoshi Keiper has for years dealt with clients who feel dissatisfied with their lives. Feelings perhaps most of us have encountered at some time. It was for this reason that Dinoshi decided to pen her experiences in a book titled “Healing the Future” which was launched on April 5, at Cafe Francais in Colombo 02.
“I want to share with you the wisdom I’ve acquired over the years working with my clients,” said Dinoshi at the event, adding that this book is for everyone.
Aside from being a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association, International Association of Counsellors and therapist, Dinoshi is a registered hypnotherapist. Through the use of hypnotherapy she says she helps her clients connect with their inner selves and find fulfilment. Dinoshi believes that a person’s past lives affect their present, and therefore must be explored using hypnotherapy in order to understand how to overcome the challenges and sorrows faced in this life. Her book “Healing the Future” details the stories of upto 20 clients who underwent hypnosis and includes their recollections of past lives.
A product of Visaka Vidyalaya, Dinoshi first pursued a degree in Economics and worked at several private and non-governmental organisations across Asia, before taking to counselling. “The route was long and winding, but it helps me relate to my clients” says Dinoshi, noting her exposure to different cultures and fields.
Dinoshi also launched a second book at the same event titled, “The Invisible Truth” . What started out as a chapter in “Healing the Future” soon morphed into a work of its own. In this book the author seeks to answer the questions, who are we? Where do we come from? and where do we go to? She does this through exploring Asian literature on mainstream ideologies and beliefs, and relating it through real life experiences.
“Healing the Future” and the “The Invisible Truth” are both priced at Rs. 2000, and will be available at most local bookstores. Both books are also available on Amazon Kindle and can be shipped internationally through Amazon.com
