At the Flamingo House
Best described as ‘artistically chaotic and pleasantly eccentric’ the Flamingo House is presently one of Colombo’s most unique dining and drinking space. Created as a tribute to the captivating fable of Sir Alfred Clarke and Satyavati, the venue is a celebration of love and a testament to the beauty of harmonised diversity.
Creatively structured with intentions of escaping everyday monotony and embracing nonconforming amusing that enliven the spirit, the location is renowned amongst those who seek a passionate lifestyle.
Spanning three floors, the Flamingo House accommodates the Flamingo House Restaurant, Love Bar, and an Exclusive Lounge; each distinctive yet cohesive in maintaining a flair of artistic mayhem and strong sense of colonial quirk. Adorned with deep velvets and flamboyant colours complemented by curious pieces of art, extravagant accents and antiquities.
Persistent with the venue’s theme of embracing diversity, the Flamingo House offers eclectic menus serving delectable dishes and exotic cocktails; each presented in imaginative and enticing ways with a distinctive Flamingo House twist. Bringing to life the spirit of the island and an assortment of flavours, spices, and aromas from neighbouring Asian lands and distant European nations, the servings at Flamingo House are bound to excite the appetite just as the venue is certain to enthuse the soul.
Through infusing such imagination, and unconventional novel ideas into the local dining and wining scene it is the vision of Flamingo House to entirely redefine the island’s fine dining spectrum.

The Menu
‘Bold, fresh, home-made’, the traits that best describe Flamingo House’s new a la carte menu. Masterfully crafted by Chef Mark Smith, the menu is influenced by his many years of work experience in the Mediterranean, Italian, North African, and Pan Asian cuisines.
Titled by Chef Mark as ‘Progressive’ the menu as per his influence features a number of classic Mediterranean and Pan Asian dishes, however each with a distinct creative Asian twist that alters the flavour to suit the local palate.
Another focal feature of the menu is that all items on it are prepared using seasonal local produce as well as local spices and aromatics of the finest quality.
While introducing the new dishes the venue still holds on to a few of its much loved items from the previous menu, such the Gourmet Seafood Koththu, and the scrumptious burgers. Also, in addition to the new a la carte Flamingo House will also offer daily Chef’s Specials.
