PS inaugural sessions postponed for sound reasons
View(s):The inaugural sessions of the Anamaduwa Pradeshiya Sabha was disrupted, as most members could not follow the proceedings due to a poor sound system.
Due to the increase in members, the existing sound systems used were not effective, and the members could not hear Chairman Priyantha Rajakaruna, which resulted in a heated argument between SLPP and UNP members.
Eventually, a UNP member brought sound equipment from State Minister Range Bandara’s office, but the SLPP protested the move.
As a result the sittings were postponed.
