Roshan and Muduwanthie top Slicers in Sabaragamuwa
View(s):Roshan Dharmapriya of Ratnapura District and Maduwanthie Gunadasa of Kegalle District showed their prowess in emerging champions in the Men’s and Women’s Singles Carrom competition held at the Auditorium of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council last week.
This competition was held to select both Men’s and Women’s teams to represent Sabaragamuwa Province at the 44th National Sports Festival to be held in Colombo.
Sri Lanka’s No. 1 ranked woman carrom player Yasika Rahubadda has been selected to represent Sabaragamuwa Province, allowing upcoming players to the path. Over a hundred participants representing Ratnapura and Kegalle Districts took part in this event, under the directions of Sports Director, Sports Officer and Coach of the Sabaragamuwa Province under the supervision of the Carrom Federation of Sri Lanka.
Thilina Vikum and Madusha Vithana finished the competition as first runners-up while Keminda Sanka and Chaveesha Premaratne occupied the second runners-up spots in in both Men’s and Women’s categories respectively.

Men’s: Rohan Dharmapriya, Thilina Vikum, Keminda Sanka, Dhanushka Sanjeewa, Arosha Sumanaweera
Women’s: Yasikha Rahubadda, Maduwanthi Gunadasa, Madusha Vithana, Chaveesha Premaratne, Niroshani Gamlath
