Retires after nearly 40 years of service in Parliament

Ranjan Felician Pathinather who served Sri Lanka Parliament for 39 years and 7 months retired from service on June 10. He joined Parliament on October 12, 1978 as a clerk and retired as the Director of Administration.

Mr.Pathinather has represented the Secretary-General of Parliament at courts of law, namely the Supreme Court, the Appeal Court, the High Court and the Magistrate’s Courts for various legal matters in connection with Members of Parliament and Members of the Staff. He also had undertaken several overseas programmes visiting other Parliaments.

He was felicitated by Parliament twice, once at the completion of 25 years of service and again on the completion of 35 years of service.
