The Young Women’s Christian Association (Kandy) will felicitate Jean Arasanayagam, winner of the Gratiaen Prize 2017, on Friday, July 6 at 4.30 p.m. at the YWCA Hall, 450/70, Piachaud Gardens, Kandy.  Ms. Arasanayagam, the well known poet, is a distinguished board member of the YWCA (Kandy). She and her husband Thiyagaraja  Arasanayagam, winner of the Gratiaen Prize 2015 are both long time residents of Kandy.  The felicitation will be held in the presence of  Prof. Walter Perera, Chairman of the Gratiaen  Trust and members of the panel of judges Prof. Carmen Wickramagamage, Head, Department of English, University of Peradeniya and Andrew Fowler – Watt, Principal of Trinity College, Kandy.
