Lyceum International wins Girls Overall Athletic Championships
Lyceum International School Wattala won the Girls Overall Athletic Championship with 150 points at the Western Province Athletic Championship 2018 held recently at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Among the top performers for Lyceum Wattala were Dilu Perera, Sachini Divyanjalee, Shenali Bastian and the Under-20 4x100m Relay team which consisted of Nipuni Nimasha, Sachini Divyanjali, Athpala Vithanage and Kaushalya Edirisuriya.

Dilu claimed the first place in the Under-20 Girls’ Shot Put event while Sachini won the Under-20 Girls’ 400m race. Besides her win in the Under-20 400m event, Sachini was also a member of the Under-20 Girls’ 4x100m Relay team that won the event.
The Lyceum Wattala Under-20 Girls’ relay team also became Overall Runners-up at the event conducted by the Ministry of Education.
In addition the Lyceum Wattala boys athletes won the overall third position with 125 points. Among the top performers in the boys category were Lahiru Krishan and Sanithu Vivan. Lahiru won the Under-18 Boy’s 800m and 1500m events while Sanithu won the Under-14 Boy’s 80m Hurdles event.
