UCLan sponsors inaugural Musaeus-Gateway Netball Big Match
View(s):University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) were the proud sponsors of the inaugural Netball Big Match between Musaeus College and Gateway College played for the Marie Museaus-Rohini Alles Trophy played at the Royal College Sports Complex. In a closely contested match, Musaeus College defeated Gateway College 27- 25 to emerge maiden winners of the Marie Musaeus-Rohini Alles Trophy.
The students from one of Sri Lanka’s oldest private schools pitted their skills against those from a premier International School in an atmosphere of healthy rivalry and camaraderie, in a bid to foster enduring traditions and unite the two institutions, both on and off the field.
The University of Central Lancashire, which celebrates its 190th anniversary this year, is the earliest established British University to offer degree programmes in Sri Lanka in partnership with Universal College Lanka (UCL).
