CCC School of Cricket makes 22nd tour abroad
View(s):CCC School of Cricket, the popular Cricket Academy from Maitland Crescent, Colombo will be making their 22nd tour abroad when their Under-13 team flew to Chennai, India on August 17 on an invitation from internationally acclaimed CSS Whatmore Centre for Cricket at Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute under world renowned Coach, Dave Whatmore, who needs no introduction to Sri Lankans. Boys will undergo Fitness and Skill Development, training and lessons on sports psychology etc at the centre for one week.
They will also play four 50-over matches and one T20 match during the tour. CCC Juniors will be led by Linal Subasinghe, talented batting allrounder while Uvin Perera, another up and coming bowling all rounder will be the deputy.
Accompanying the team will be CCC School of Cricket’s Director of Coaching, veteran coach, Nelson Mendis and Ravi Subasinghe, the Manager and Vice President of the Schools’ Executive Committee. Other members of the Tour Organises Committee are Pamoda Weerakkody, Dr. Siddhika Williams, Ravichandran Shivalingam, Chanaka Perera and S. Shanmuganathan.
The touring CCC U-13 team: Linal Subasinghe (Capt), Uvin Perera (VC), Praran Willams, Sharujan Shanmuganathan, Hirun Kapurubandara, Anishke Gooneratne, Aiden Weerasinghe, Thenushka Nanayakkara, Kanishka Dissanayake, Prakash Gamaathige, Anshane de Silva, Vidun Weeraddana, Cainan Anthonysz, Glen De Rose, Anoop Munaweera.
Coach: Udara Maddumage
