Rita Ora signs up with new modelling agency
View(s):Pop star Rita Ora has signed up with the model agency of Kate Moss. The 27 year old singer took to social media on August 8 to confirm she was no longer with the Next Model Management. Ora has appeared on several advertisements for very big global brands. The singer and song writer is also an actress as she appeared in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Meanwhile Rita will perform ‘Lonely Together’ tomorrow 20th August, at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York as a tribute to Avicii. It was the last single the 28 year old Tim Bergling released under his stage name last year which featured the vocals of Rita Ora. Avicii took his own life during a trip to Oman on 20th April.
Ellie Goulding has announced she is engaged to Caspar Jopling, an art dealer at Sotheby’s. The announcement was made in a traditional manner, when it appeared in the Times newspaper’s Births, Marriages and Deaths section on 7th August. Ellie’s last hit was ‘Still Falling For You’ from the Bridget Jones’s Baby soundtrack in 2017.
Singer Demi Lovato who is in rehab outside California, was flown to Chicago accompanied by her mother on 9th August, to visit a psychiatrist and retuned by last Sunday. The singer has now cancelled her Tell Me You Love Me world tour, right across North America.
‘In My Feelings’ is still the chart topping song on the UK singles chart for a fourth week for the Canadian rap star Drake. In the run up to the last countdown, the song had 10.6 million streams. The song has been certified with Gold by the BPI. The single is Drake’s third longest reigning UK No: 1 song. ‘One Dance’ completed 15 weeks while ‘God’s Plan’ completed 9 weeks.
The Canadian production duo Loud Luxury advanced to the UK top 10 from 19 to No: 8 with ‘Body’. The deep house track which features the vocals of Brando, has been hovering around the chart for 10 weeks outside the big 10.
Travis Scott is the hip hop artist best known for being the partner of the US reality star Kylie Jenner. He released his album ‘Astroworld’ which came out on 3rd August and with it a load of tracks have been downloaded or streamed in audio formats. Leading the way is the track ‘Sicko Mode’ which debuted on the UK singles chart at No: 9. Scott has two more songs, which are official releases on the top 60. The only song which was released officially is ‘Butterfly Effect’, but it did not do well peaking at 57.
US rapper Tyga has secured a top 10 rank on the UK chart for his song ‘Taste’ featuring fellow rapper Offset who is a member of the group Migos. The bounce/ hip hop track features the names of several US cities at the end, but the video clip may seem offensive to young women. ‘Taste’ has taken 12 weeks to reach the top 10. The song is Tyga’s third UK top 10 hit. Tyga is the husband of Cardi B.
