U-13 Badminton C’ships in Kandy
View(s):Rugger and Cricket, in that order, take pride of place among sports in Kandy. Thus, the Sri Lankan Schools Badminton Associations Under-13 Doubles Championships will provide an opening for lights in the shuttle game to come to the fore.
The Indoor Stadium at Katukele, the property of the Kandy Municipal Council, will be spruced up for this event which with be played over three days of September 2, 3 and 4.
Dinuka Karunaratne, Achini Ratnasiri and Tilini Hendahewa, from among the current stars, undoubtedly, took their first steps to stardom in events such as this. Their successors could come from among the players taking part in this event.
