Two Lankan Scouts with special needs, recently attended a Scout Jamboree in Landsleir, Norway, for a similar group of students. They were Dulan Kanishka, 18 and Dhananjaya Lahiru Ratnayaka.

They were assisted by Mencafep, an organization helping mentally disabled children and their families, firstly in Nuwara Eliya. Some 6,000 Scouts from 16 countries attended the Jamboree.

They were accompanied by Mencafep Institute’s Education & Development Officer Shamali Ratnayaka, Aesthetic Studies (Rtd) Director Vernonica Shrima Kumari and Asst. Education Director Mahinda Dhanapala.
