Budding Inventors of the East showcase their Talents
View(s):The Eastern Cyber Tech 2018 Exhibition which inspired a number of new inventors from the Eastern Province, was held in Batticalola this week.
The Advanced Technological Educational Institutes (ATEI) in Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Ampara and Samanthurai, along with the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) and the Batticaloa District Secretary’s office organised the event.
This exhibition offered all young innovators a good opportunity to showcase their achievements, which can motivate them for further empowerment in their pursuit to obtain sustainability in innovation. The technical expertise and professionalism of the ATEI and the Research Analysis Projection & Development Branch of the SLA, provided leadership required to enable young inventors to showcase their talents.
Chief Guest, Security Force Headquarters- East Commander, Maj.Gen. Santhusitha Pananwala said the present Army Commander Lt.Gen. Mahesh Senanayake always encouraged the innate creative skills and innovative talents inherent in personnel, to be further developed. “Science can change the future of our society which lies in the hands of innovative and aspiring people like you. People who can innovate, cooperate with others, and stay resilient, to rise to the challenge and make our country a better place and a proud nation,” he said.
“Never forget that if you persevere and stay committed, without giving up in the face of hardships, you will achieve success,” he said..
