Helicopter fun rides in Batticaloa
View(s):The Chamber of Tourism and Industry (CTI) launched Helicopter fun rides in Batticaloa last week. This is a part of the project carried out by the Chamber in order to promote Tourism, Investment and Economic development in the Eastern tourism areas.
The inauguration ceremony held under the chairmanship of the President of the Chamber of Tourism and Industry Sri Lanka A M Jaufar, was attended by the Batticaloa Mayor Thangarajah Saravana Bawan as Chief Guest and Batticaloa Airport Manager Chinthaka Fonseka
‘Chamber of Tourism and Industry has been pursuing this matter for quite some time and after a careful study of the requirements have prepared a 30 point programme to be implemented in order to promote development of Tourism in the area’ said President Jaufar.
Chamber initiated this project in order to provide more activities for the visitors to the East thus supporting the government’s effort to develop tourism. The Helicopter rides pave the way for admiring the natural beauty of Batti., Passikudah and other coastal areas. After a successful fun ride, the Chamber is now ready to provide the services to Nilaweli and Arugam Bay areas during the season.
