Sinhala stage play “Mang Kelin Minihek” which created a controversy following its censorship issue, will be staged at 3.30pm and 7.00 pm, on September 16 at the Lionel Wendt theatre, Colombo.

Directed by Asanka Sayakkara, the play, a black comedy, faced a censorship from the authorities which led to a huge protest by theatre and film artistes.

“Mang Kelin Minihek” revolves around a minister and his private secretary who encounter astonishing incidents when they are held up in a hotel room. The play talks about the existence of power and feminism, in a sarcastic manner.

Samitha Sudeeshwara and Kelum Gamlath play the main characters and the play is enacted under the tag line ‘most suitable for adult audience’.
