Jaguar, Land Rover migrate to regional warranty
View(s):SML Frontier Automotive, sole agents of Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR) has announced the official migration of Global Warranty to Regional Warranty in compliance with the Asia Pacific Region.
All new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles sold from June 1, 2018 onwards, which are not imported and sold by the authorised sole agent of Jaguar and Land Rover in Sri Lanka, SML Frontier Automotive will not benefit from the JLR Regional warranty, a media release issued by the company revealed.
All vehicles sold by unauthorised dealers will be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions for the region.
The warranty doesn’t cover all items, such as those subject to adjustment or replacement during normal service or maintenance operations.
Therefore it won’t cover repair or replacement required as a direct result of normal wear and tear, the failure to properly maintain the vehicle in accordance with JLR maintenance schedules and service instructions.
