View(s):My favourite ice-cream
My favourite ice-cream is strawberry flavoured
ice-cream.
It’s really wonderful and delicious. It is pink and white in colour.
I asked my mother how to make this ice cream. She said we need milk, eggs, sugar and strawberry essence. These things are mixed well. Later the mixture is kept in the fridge. My mother said she will teach me how to make it step by step.

Beyond the Horizon
Soaring high above the sky
I can’t help but reminisce
the lengths you went to take me
beyond the Horizon ever since,
You helped me seek the sages’ lands
and uncover hidden leas
as you nurtured my young and tender wings
to take flight with curiosity.
You helped me touch the clouds above
and grasp unthinkable feats,
Your wind beneath my wings
drove me higher to succeed.
You trialled my resilience
with storms to throw me astray,
I learned to stay focused amidst the fog;
You made sure that nothing came in my way.
You taught me to aim high
for no regrets mean no pain
Though situations change in life,
the vision stays the same.
The journey that you’ve granted me
counts more than my destination,
as I strive to venture
beyond the Horizon.

My favourite football club
There are many football clubs in Sri Lanka. But my favourite club is Crico Football Club which was started in 2015. I also play for the club as a forward player. We have practices on Saturdays and Sundays at the Race Course grounds. Crico FC has played five matches and won three of them. Our coaches train our skills and tactics. More than 50 children are playing in our club. Some play for junior and some play for the senior team.
We also go for annual trips. Last year we visited Anuradhapura. Crico FC is organising a sports carnival on January 10, 2019. Our team works as a family and so we have good sportsmanship and leadership qualities. Apart from this our club has many fans who cheer us at all times.
I always pray for my football club to be famous and a standard football club.
I love my football club very much.

Esala Perahera
The Tooth Relic was brought to Sri Lanka by Princess Hemamali and Prince Dantha. After that it was brought to Kandy by King Wimaladharmasooriya. Continuing a tradition dating back to the 4th century, King Keerthi Sri Rajasinghe started this pageant.
The perahera begins with Kapsituweema and ends with the water cutting ceremony. All the perahera start at auspicious times. Before the Kumbal perahera, the Devala peraheras are also seen inside the Maligawa premises. The Randoli Perahera begins after five days of Kumbal Perahera.
The procession gets more glamorous and takes a longer route.
Whip crackers give us the sign that the perahera is going to begin. Then goes flag bearers, Nilames, dancing troupes and drummers. Sesath are also carried on either side of the road. The elephants wearing different coloured clothes add colour to the pageant. The Diyawadana Nilame marks the end of the perahera. The Nawagamuwe tusker carries the gold casket symbolizing the Tooth Relic. A canopy is held over the tusker. This beautiful pageant is organized by the Basnayake Nilames.
Both local and foreign people come to see this event. I hope that the future generations would continue this custom.

My family
There are five family members in my family. They are father, mother, sister, brother and me.
My grandmother and grandfather live in another house far away from here, but sometimes they come to see us.
Sometimes we are fighting but we are not so sad because we are such a happy family. I love my family.

Flowers
Flowers make the environment very attractive. We use flowers for so many activities, such as to offer flowers for
Lord Buddha. To cure patients we use flowers as medicines. When we are tired we can look at flowers to be happy.
People like to grow flowers in their gardens and make their gardens attractive. Because of the attractive flowers, foreigners love our country. We can grow many flowers to make the world gorgeous.
There are lots of flower gardens in
Sri Lanka. Even I like to be a nicely smelling flower.
