Dudley Senanayake MV claims Cup Championship
Dudley Senanayake Maha Vidyalaya Borella defeated Vidura College 21-0 to claim the Cup championship of the Milo Inter-School Under-14 Division Rugby Tournament which was played on September 15 and 16 at the Public ground in Panadura.
The Plate championship was won by Sri Sumangala College Panadura, who beat Welagedara Maha Vidyalaya 14-5 in the final. St. Thomas’ Prep College Kollupitiya clinched the Bowl title after defeating Kegalu Vidyalaya while Zahira College Mawanella annexed the Shield title with a win over Debarawewa Maha Vidyalaya. Both finals concluded with the similar scoreline of 12-0.
The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association with the sponsorship of Nestle Lanka’s Milo. Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association officials R.B.U. Samarasinghe, Sarathchandra de Silva and Nirodha Wijerama and Nestle Lanka’s Senior Manager Sajeewa Wickramasinghe were present at the awards ceremony.
