Trinity, St. Peter’s and S. Thomas’ emerge champs at TPT Hockey

Lavinia emerged champions in the Under-14, Under-16 and Under-20 events respectively at the TPT Hockey Triangular played at the S. Thomas’ College Grounds last Saturday. The annual hockey carnival was competed by Trinity College, St. Peter’s College and S. Thomas’ Colleges.
Hockey of high standard was exhibited at all three categories with the losers never allowing the winners cake walk victories. In the Under-14 finals Trinity defeated S. Thomas’ 1-0 while in the Under-16 finals St. Peter’s had to toil hard to achieve victory over Trinity 1-0.
In the senior Under- 20 final match St. Peter’s held the strong Thomians right through out the game but Mt. Lavinia school sounded the board once to emerge winners 1-0. In the Old Boys segment Peterite Old Boys swept the board to grab championships in the Under-30, Under-40 and Over-40 categories.
