Hill Country International School Prize-Giving
View(s):The Hill Country International School, though truly International, it is local in ‘flavour’. It had its Prize-Giving with National Institute of Fundamental Studies Associate Research Professor Professor Nazrin Marikkar as Chief Guest.
The School Board’s Vice Chairman A.M. Mahir, in his address, said that Values are based on Leadership and is in the core vision of the School. Its vision is to build a better Nation tomorrow, so that all communities can live in harmony.
Hill Country International has all communities and they work and play together, which inculcates for future Communal Harmony, and also brings about Leadership. He also said that determination to reach goals is one of the key targets of the school, to ensure achieving them.
There were prizes for Best Students in Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism.
Awards were presented to the Best Hill Countyrian- Boys and Girls, The Teaching Staff were also felicitated for their devotion and for maintaining the high standards of the school. - L.B. Senaratne
