Ex-cop arrested for selling drugs to schoolchildren
View(s):An ex-policeman has been arrested for allegedly selling heroin to schoolchildren in Sapugaskanda, the area’s police inspector said.
OIC (Crimes) Tusitha Jayakody said the man had been interdicted years ago for breaking police rules and since then he had been on the wrong side of the law.
He said they searched the suspect’s house and found 1,800 grams of heroin.
The suspect was produced before Mahara Chief Magistrate Heshan De Mel and remanded till October 26.
