Mercantile Men’s Hockey 7s today

View(s): The 42nd Mercantile Hockey Association’s (MHA) Men’s 7-a-side Hockey Tournament 2018, conducted in 6 Divisions, will get under way today at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium, under the patronage of the Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army, Maj.Gen. Shavendra Silva. The Tournament is sponsored by Peoples Leasing PLC, MAS Holdings, DHL and Hilton Colombo.
Teams have will be categorised as follows:
- ’A’ Division for the ‘Dennis De Rosayro’ Trophy donated by Janashakthi Insurance PLC: Commercial Bank ‘A’, HNB Group ‘A’, MAS Holdings ‘A’, Sampath Bank ‘A’.
Runner-up will receive the MHA Trophy donated by a well-wisher.
Dennis De Rosayro Fair Play Trophy donated by IDAC (Pvt) Ltd for ‘A’ Division only teams. Replicas awarded to the winners.
- ‘B’ Division for the Singer Trophy: Commercial Bank ‘B’, Nations Trust Bank, Singer Sri Lanka, Brown & Co.
- ‘C’ Division for Lifebuoy Trophy: HSBC, Seylan Bank, John Keells Holdings
- ‘D’ Division for the Edmund J. Cooray Trophy: HNB Group ‘B’, Orient Finance Ltd., David Pieris Motor Co., Aitken Spence, MJF Teas Pvt. Ltd
- ‘E’ Division for the Ceylon Cold Stroes Trophy: WSO2, Sampath Bank ‘C’, Ceylon Tobacco Co., Richard Pieris Group
- ‘F’ Division for the MHA President’s Trophy: MAS Holdings ‘B’, Sampath Bank ‘B’
