Guru Lennie de Silva But where’s his trophy?

View(s): In the early 50′s, the then Principal of Kingswood, P.H. Nonis released teacher Lennie de Silva to Royal to introduce Hockey, and he also awarded a trophy which is unheard of now.
Mr. J.C.A. Corea (Ref. ST page 4) who gave the trophy and Mr. Dudley K.G. de Silva were Kingswood’s teachers taken from the school. Mr. Paul Jeyaraj was throughout at Kingswood, where he learned his Hockey. He retired thereafter.
Firstly, children should be grateful of their past and taught that way. Preference should be given to national schools whose children form the backbone of most sports in Sri Lanka. Principals should take this to heart.
