Hemas Hospitals sells its southern hospital to Asiri Hospitals
View(s):Hemas Hospitals has announced the sale of Hemas Southern Hospital to Asiri Hospitals for Rs.450 million, a move the company said is a “significant step to intensify their growth strategy and new business lines.
“We identified Asiri Group of Hospitals as the best fit due to their capability of providing high quality patient care and we are confident that they will continue to develop the hospital. All our employees will continue to remain under the new ownership. We thank the staff, medical community and our loyal patients and wish the team and Asiri every success in the future,” said Dr. Lakith Peiris, Managing Director Hemas Hospitals in a media release on Monday.
“Going forward, Hemas Hospitals in Thalawathugoda and Wattala will evolve into super-specialty medical and healthcare, state- of- the- art facilities, providing for critical care. Hemas Labs will transform as one of the most technologically advanced laboratories in Sri Lanka, servicing the country and selected foreign markets. In addition, Hemas Hospitals plans to expand their business to international markets.
