Waiving the rules
View(s):Road rules are formulated to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and to ensure the protection of pedestrians. But drivers and riders are often seen brazenly flouting traffic rules especially during the rush hour with no consideration for safety of pedestrians.

This appears to be the new normal.
It is common to see motorcyclists habitually riding on pavements or recklessly changing lanes with no consideration for other road users.
It is unfortunate that many traffic policemen manning the busy city roads, seem to miss many of these flagrant traffic violations which pose a deadly threat not only to pedestrians, but to other road users as well.
