Sri Lanka Police School Shuttlers won the Overall Championship at the Sri Lanka Police Inter-Divisional Badminton Tournament 2018, after a lapse of 6 years, winning the Women’s Championship and being Runners-up in the Men’s segment, at the Royal College Indoor Complex.
The three-day tournament had 44 Divisional teams competing, with the victorious Police School team winning the Women’s Over (O)-40 Singles, O-40 Doubles, Open Singles and Open Doubles, while their Men won the Open Singles.
Sub Inspector G.D.P. de Silva was awarded Best Player of the Tournament, while Women’s Sgt. W. M. S. I. Viyalagoda was awarded Best Women’s Player of the Tournament.
