SLPA, CEB, SL Army and SL Air Force qualify for Munchee VB Super League Tourney
Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), SL Army and SL Air Force qualified for the finals (men and women) of the Munchee National Super League Volleyball Tournament at the National Youth Service Council (NYSC) Indoor Courts.
In the men’s tournament first semi-final CEB beat MAS Li by 3 sets to 2. (Score: 25-17, 25-10, 27-29, 18-25 and 15-9). In the second semi-final SLPA beat SL Army 3-1 (Score: 25-23, 28-26, 23-25 and 25-19) and qualified for the finals.
In the women’s semi-final round SL Air Force beat MAS CL by 3 sets to nil, (Score: 25-17,25-18 and 25-18).
In the second semi-final SL Army beat SL Navy 3-0 (Score: 25-21, 25-16 and 25-20). Thus they qualified for the women’s finals.
Eight teams took part in the men’s tournament and 16 teams participated in the women’s competition.
The finals will take place on December 15 at the NYSC Courts, Maharagama. The tournament is being conducted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation.
