The controversy ridden Sinhala stage play “Mang Kelin Minihek” will go on the boards at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm on Saturday, December 1 at Namel Malini Punchi Theatre in Borella.

The play, a black comedy directed by Asanka Sayakkara, faced a censorship from the authorities which lead for a huge protest by theatre and film artistes.

“Mang Kelin Minihek” revolves around a minister and his private secretary who encounter astonishing incidents when they are held up in a hotel room. The play talks about the existence of power and feminism, in a sarcastic manner.

Samitha Sudeeshwara and Kelum Gamlath play the main characters and the play is enacted under the tag line ‘most suitable for adult audience’.

All seats are box planned and tickets are now available at the theatre. The show is organised by Jude Srimal.
