A/Level student stabbed to death by another student
View(s):An A/L student of St. Thomas College, Matara was stabbed to death by a student of Rahula Vidyalaya, Matara, following a heated argument between two groups of students from the two schools, police said. The stabbing incident had occured outside a tuition class in Ellewala in Matara, attended by both boys.
Police believe the argument had arisen regarding an earlier incident where the victim’s younger brother had been slapped by the suspect
The main suspect and two others linked to the killing had fled the area following the incident.
The victim was identified as Ravindra Gimhana aged 19. One of his other schoolmate’s who also sustained cut injuries was admitted to the Matara General Hospital.
