‘Santa’s Village’: A carnival that you must go to this season
View(s):With the season of festivity approaching, the British School Colombo (BSC) presents its annual Christmas Carnival on Saturday, December 8 from 2 p.m to 8 p.m at the British School in Colombo, 63 Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo.
This year’s carnival, themed as “Santa’s Village” promises an exhilarating experience for children and adults alike. The
BSC Parent Teachers Association (PTA) invites the public to visit the carnival and experience the magical world within.
“One of the reasons the carnival is so popular in town is for the fact that adults and children have lots to do here. There is always something new to see at the British School Christmas Carnival,” assures Dr. John Scarth, Principal of the British School in Colombo.
Restaurants such as Rocco’s Pizza, Mango Tree, The Sandwich Factory, Il Gelato, Slush Bar, Juicy Café, Mabroc, Munchingly, Dinemore, Norfolk, Cafe Noir, Fish n’ chips, Frozen, Choi Korean food, The Chariot and many more will have stalls selling their scrumptious food and beverages.
Bath bliss, Slime station, Crumbs, Yum Yum Fine Foods, Grocery Box, MacMart, AussieMart, Prime Lands, Tektron Corporation pvt Ltd, Shop with me, KR fashion and Nawaloka PLC are some of the key stalls. Children will have fun with the new arts and crafts corner, face painting, games of trampoline, bouncer, bubble machine, bungee jump, rodeo bull, tea cup ride, hover carts, bunga run, adventure sele and virtual games, with the purchase of an all-day pass ‘wrist band’ for Rs.1000.
All entrance tickets are entitled to an exciting entrance draw sponsored by Qatar Airways and Fairway Holdings. The exciting prizes include an air ticket to an European destination, whalewatching by helicopter and a hotel stay with many more gifts on offer.
The BSC Christmas Carnival is partnered by HJ International, as Platinum sponsor and John Keells Properties and Cinnamon Life as Gold sponsors.

Tickets for the carnival priced at Rs.300 are now available at the gate. Children below five years could walk in free.
