Institute of Chemistry Ceylon together with Students Association of College of Chemical Sciences Make Donations to Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama

Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, one of a leading higher education Institute in Sri Lanka for Chemistry together with the Students Association of College of Chemical Sciences handed over essential medical equipment and medicine to the National Cancer Institute in Maharagama (Apeksha Hospital) on 28th November 2018. Prof. S P Deraniyagala, Dr. Kushan Weerasiri, Dr Sisira Weliwegamage and several members of the Students’ Association of College of Chemical Sciences 2017/18 were participated for the event.

Prof S P Deraniyagala, senior lecturer of College of Chemical sciences handed over the donations to Dr. Buddika Kurukulasuriya, the Director of National Cancer Institute, who upon receiving the items thanked bountifully for their generous contribution. Among items donated there were a Patient trolley, Medicine trolley and 2 condor Nebulizers that the hospital had been short of. Vancomycin, Clexane drugs (35 units each) and 100 Infusion sets were among the drugs that were donated to the hospital.
