Looking chic in handloom

View(s):

Designer and choreographer Senaka de Silva is a grand master when it comes to putting on a show. At the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre he unveiled the beauty and wearability of Sri Lankan handlooms in the ‘Handloom Fashion Week’ presented by the Department of Textile Industry, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, leaving the audience in no doubt of the contemporary appeal of the locally made fabric.

The show was presented in different segments to highlight the versatility of handlooms for whatever the occasion – to the beach, as office wear, formal wear, ethnic wear and finally, for that most important ‘big day’ as a statement bridal.
