‘Sarungal’ on screen
View(s):‘Sarungal’ (Kites), film and tele-director Nalaka Vithanage’s newest film will be released on MPI circuit cinemas from December 14.
Produced by Tharanga Athuraliya and A Parister, the film is a fantasy on love and reality and it revolves around four main characters. The story revolves around a young couple who fall in love after meeting at a nightclub. But their relationship is strained as they face day-to-day realities.
‘Sarungal’ stars Saranga Dissasekara, Charith Abeysinghe, Chamathka Lakmini, Shalika Edirisinghe, Sooriya Dayaruwan and Janaka Ranasinghe in the lead roles.
Kelum Udawawala and Pathum Ekanayake are the assistant directors, Thilanka Perera is editor and cinematographer of ‘Sarungal’ is Manjula Kumara. Vocal renditions are by Umariya Sinhawansa and Bachi Susan who are also featured in the movie.
Nalaka earlier directed ‘Anithya’ and ‘Nilanjana’ and he has also directed a number of teledramas.
