25 new President’s Counsel to take oaths next month
View(s):Twenty-five President’s Counsel appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena will take their oaths at a ceremonial sitting of the Supreme Court on January 18, at 9.30 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Ceremonial Court of the Supreme Court (Court No 501).
The 25 newly-appointed President Counsel are: Chinathamanie Mooemalle Balalle, Satendra Maithri Gunaratne, Mohamed Sheriffdeen Mohamed Hussain, Pilimatalawa Wijesundara Mudiyanselage Suriyashantha Bandara Iddawela, Dulip Flavian Raphael Jayamaha, Madurapperumage Chandrasri Jayaratne, Liyana Mudiyanselage Vijitha Nandana Jayawickrema, Singhanathage Tharapathi Jayanaga, Upali Sarath Kongahage, Sunil Kithsirimevan Lankatilleka, Arunachalam Muttukrishnan, Bamunuge Joseph Bernard Shanthi Perera, Subramaniam Paramarajah, Edmund Sirimevan Rajapakse, Mohan Rudolph Abeyratna Ratwatte, Shantha Chulabaya Rathnayake, Akmeemana Palliya Guruge Sarathchandra, Abdul Wahid Abdul Sathar, Palli Mulla Kapugamage Nelson De Silva, Velayuthapilli Thavarajah, Sarath Devasena Wijesinghe, Luckshan Mahinda Wijesurendra, Priyal Thusitha Wijayaweera, Saumya Amarasekara and Geethaka Goonewardene.
