Elvis comes alive
View(s):Tuesday, January 8, 2019 marks the 84th Birth Anniversary of Elvis Presley when thousands of Elvis fans from around the world gather at Graceland to participate in various exciting activities arranged by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.
Graceland is said to be the most-visited private residence in the world, where Elvis lived like a king with its entire splendour. It is now listed in the ‘National Register of Historical Places’ by the US Government. Elvis bought it in March 1957. Graceland is themed in such a way, visitors feel Elvis is still living there.
The main attraction is one of Elvis’ jet planes named after his daughter Lisa Marie. It has several TVs, stereo system and an electrical system that can operate any household appliance including a refrigerator that makes ice precisely in two minutes. There are hundreds of other items used by Elvis and also the famous Pink Cadillac Elvis bought as a birthday present for his mother with the proceeds from the sale of his first Gold Disc.
There are many breath-taking attractions at Graceland, including the world famous “Lisa Marie” jet plane, collection of his gold discs, heart-shaped swimming pool, his grand piano, Heartbreak Hotel, gift shop, Graceland’s Chapel in the Woods, 24-hour Elvis movie channel, Elvis Satellite Radio station, etc.
